Reflect : meaning, joy and financial success

av Hans Åkerblom
What is the meaning with our life and with our operations? How can we live a more meaningful life and at the same time succeed financially? We need to take the time to reflect on these and other issues that are raised in "Reflect" in order to be able to take life and business promoting initiatives.

We need to ask ourselves some of life's biggest questions even in our organisations. How much lovefulness and fears are there in our organisation? Why do we run our business? How do we contribute to a better world with what we do? How do we treat our colleagues and co-workers? Is our work a part of our own self-realisation or just a mean to achieve something else?

We are living in a world where money is a necessary mean to all of us. Our goal may be everything from survival to creating a fortune in order to strengthening our own importance. The problem is though, that if we define our purpose to "make money" or "to increase shareholder value" we may confuse means and purpose. What do we want to tell our grand children? "I increased share holders value 15 years on a row", or "I worked 60 hours per week in order to succeed in my career." Once we start to realise what life is about, we will find that life is about people and relationships.

Life is about change and development. Life is about joy and suffering. We have to take our responsibility for how things are in our world. We have to ask ourselves thought provoking questions that challenge us to dig deeper into how our world looks like and how we would like it to be. We have to make a decision on how we want to and can contribute to more meaning and joy and reduce the suffering within ourselves and in our surroundings. This is how we have to reflect at home as well as at work.

We have to reflect, get new insights and increase our consciousness. "Reflect" gives you the latest version of the Lots process that during 30 years has provoked and helped people in many private and professional situations. This new version brings, through its provocations, new questions to the surface. They are all important if we want to take life and business promoting initiatives.
