CSR - from risk to value : the business case for corporate social responsibility, CSR Upplaga 1

av PricewaterhouseCoopers
Does corporate management's handling of areas of responsibility with a bearing, for example, on the physical environment, the work environment, and human rights have an effect on company value? In this publication, the claim is made, based on research, that work with Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, is, actually, value impacting and, therefore, is also on the way to becoming a strong movement within the business community, amongst investors, for governments and for the media, who all have begun to see this as a necessary approach. In order to survive major market changes, general economic downturns and changes in generations in management, companies must determine and communicate the sustainability values and behavioural guidelines providing the basis of their operations. Furthermore, companies should also report the manner in which they comply with their declared principles. Sustainability reporting has begun, therefore, to be seriously established amongst large companies. In this publication we turn, on the first hand, to the corporate management and board members of listed companies, but also to all other parties interested in this important area, CSR.
