Challenging Oppression

This book addresses the experiences of anyone who has ever been discriminated against or blocked from opportunities because of their gender, race, social position, sexual orientation, age, or disability. It offers explanations of why and how oppression and discrimination occur in a supposedly free and open society. More than a critique of society, however, it presents ways to confront, resist, and challenge oppression from the individual to the political levels.
