BAS Manual 2009 : accounting plan and detailed instructions Upplaga 7

av Sören Karlsson
The BAS Manual is continuously updated and improved. Clear references, at account group level as well as account level, are made to the applicable Swedish laws and also to recommendations and statements published by Swedish and international standard-setters. In this edition references to laws and standards have been updated and a number of accounts have been added and some have been changed or removed. Since its introduction in 1976, the BAS Accounting Plan has become the leading accounting plan in Sweden and is now used by the vast majority of Swedish enterprises, large as well as small. A number of industrial sector organisations have developed tailored versions for each sector?s special requirements. Experience from earlier editions has proven that there is a great interest in the English version of BAS. Swedish parent companies with non-Swedish subsidiaries often require that all group companies use the BAS Accounting Plan and consequently need to have it available in English. The English version is also of value for non-Swedish parent companies with subsidiaries in Sweden, to help non-Swedish employees who require information from the companies´ accounting records. In the translation IASB terminology has been used as far as possible.
